Priyanka Chopra has already written 45 songs
Unlike their Hollywood counterparts, Bollywood actors are not very popular for their singing talents. Very few have managed to create a parallel career recording in studios alongside acting.

More often than not, Hindi film stars prefer to belt out a number and then move on. Not for Priyanka Chopra!

Last year, the actress launched her debut single in collaboration with international rapper Will.i.am. And the feedback appears to have goaded her to continue the musical stint. In fact, if sources are to be believed, the Barfi! actress has already written 45 songs.

A source close to the actress said: “She is not ready to reveal anything about the tracks yet. Since she has just crossed one milestone, the actress-singer hasn’t yet thought about the next one.”

Priynaka’s first recording for a Tamil film was for Thamizhan (2002) in which she also made her acting debut. The song Ullathai Killadhe was reportedly chosen after director Majeed heard her singing on the sets.

She later recorded a song for Bluffmaster (2005) but it was never released. In an earlier interview, Priyanka had revealed that her father always wanted her to sing and she’s fulfilling his dreams.

Thamizhan
Thamizhan is a 2002 Indian Tamil-language action drama film directed by debutant Majith and produced by G. Venkateswaran. The film stars Vijay in the lead role with Priyanka Chopra, who made her debut as a lead actress in the film. Revathi, Nassar, Ashish Vidyarthi and Vivek also play pivotal roles in the film, while the film’s score and soundtrack were composed by D. Imman. The story involves solving several corruption cases by a lawyer named Surya in the process fighting against a criminal boss and finally making Indian law basics available as a free book to common people.

The soundtrack of the film was composed by D. Imman, who with the soundtrack made his debut at 19 years old. Actress Priyanka Chopra sang a song in the film, with Vijay recommending her after he had heard her humming to a tune.
